Description

Injury Rates in Youth Soccer Are on the Rise
It is well documented that injury rates in youth soccer are on the rise. Why? One main reason is insufficient education on how to prevent these injuries. While our job as rehab professionals is traditionally to treat injury, intimate knowledge of injury prevention programs will help us educate our athlete patients and coaches who instruct them on the practice field. This communication can reduce incidence of reinjury and maximize the patient's continuity of care.

This webinar reviews soccer-targeted anatomy and biomechanics to better identify pathomechanical movement patterns. Dr. Holt discusses etiology, as well as signs and symptoms of injuries commonly associated with faulty biomechanics in young soccer players. She concludes with step-by-step instructions for the FIFA 11+, a proven method for preventing these injuries.
