Your clients are being held captive by traumatic experiences, turbulent emotions, and debilitating behavior.

You've sat in sessions with clients facing a myriad of conditions - anxiety, trauma, depression, anger - and they don't say a word, fighting against your "treatment" for them.

Sitting in a session where no one speaks is awkward and doesn't help your client move forward, leaving you feeling like a failure. When I started using art techniques to help them "speak" as words fell short, my clients gained tools they could use to move forward.

That's why I'm inviting you to join me in my exclusive online course Healing Through Creative Expression & Imagery: Art Therapy for Loss, Anxiety, OCD and Grief, where you'll learn dozens of art techniques to use with any client you work with.

I hope you join me,

Pamela Hayes, MFT, ATR-BC

Learn more about how I used Art Therapy with my clients... and how you can, too.

For over 20 years I've worked with clients in schools, prisons, and the office - those facing marriage issues, trauma, grief and a lot more. I know what it’s like to work with clients that have experienced loss or instability in their life - clients who come to your office because of their anxiety, who cut themselves, or those experiencing the death of someone they love. Sometimes they don’t want to talk, and that’s okay.

That's where Art Therapy can help.

I used art therapy with a client who painted with different shades of green that she described as “poisonous” and “ugly.” Her anger while painting was so volatile that when she was done she couldn’t look at it, and asked me to throw it away because it was going to trigger horrible responses from her.

I pulled the painting out in another session and asked her to make that ugly, scary painting less ugly. She tentatively placed yellow and orange designs, before realizing that she made that ugly green mess into a flower garden. Her response?

“Wow, that really is better.”

That change in perspective gives our clients something - Control. Originally she wanted me to throw it away, but if I threw it away then I was in controlI gave her the control back by showing her that we don’t get to start every morning with a clean slate, but with the same issues from the day before, and we have to work with that. That’s okay because there's no garden without fertilizer.

These invaluable art techniques I use in my practice have irrevocably changed my clients lives by using a form of communication other than speaking. As an Art Therapist, I recognize the value in this for my clients, and I want to offer that to you, too.
