CAL/OSHA 2018: Compliance & Training for Medical & Dental
Copyright :

Meeting 2018 Cal/OSHA requirements can be tricky. How would you answer these questions?

Yes No

  • Do you comply with the new Cal/OSHA standard for workplace violence in healthcare?
  • Do you have a violence incident log?
  • Is workplace violence included in your training?
  • Have you performed the required Hazard Assessment?
  • Does your written plan cover all the hazards in your workplace?
  • Do you comply with exit routes, emergency evacuation plans, and fire prevention plans?
  • Does your Hepatitis B Vaccination Protocol include the required titer?
  • Are you following the most recent post-exposure guidelines?
  • Is your practice evaluating new safety devices every year as required?
  • Will your documentation and hazard controls pass a Cal/OSHA Inspection?

If you answered “no” or “I’m not sure” to any of these, your facility may be at risk for Cal/OSHA fines and penalties.
