It’s a daily occurrence – a new client comes into the clinic expecting you to relieve their low back pain.

But “low back pain” is made up of an intricate web of factors.

Which diagnostic procedures do you use? What interventions? What do you do with the [mis]information they may be bringing with them?

Unfortunately, their problems are often complicated by a combination of the misinformation, bad assessment, or even misdiagnosis, all of which increase the likelihood that treatment will fail. Many rehab professionals, and even surgeons, mistakenly attribute lower back pain to wrong causes, such as facet-joint syndrome or bulging disc, and these errors lead directly to incorrect treatment or even failed surgeries, and serve to extend, instead of relieve pain.

In this exciting new online course, Dr. Kyndall Boyle, PT, PhD, OCS, PRC, teaches you how to integrate the three crucial aspects of nonsurgical interventions that lead directly to successful outcomes. Once you learn to use her simple diagnostic tools, how to talk to your patient about their care plans, and how to tailor interventions to each patient and diagnosis, you’ll have real alternative solutions to immediately relieve your patients’ suffering.

Dr. Boyle has developed her diagnostic and intervention techniques over the course of 25 years of clinical practice, research, and teaching. She combines an examination of the underlying biomechanics, case studies, and a randomized control trial with extensive and comprehensive demonstrations that include step-by-step descriptions of each test and modality in this exclusive online course. These offer a deep understanding of the relationships between the SIJ/hip, respiration, posture, and motor control, which in turn means you have the necessary tools to resolve your patients’ suffering.

THE BUILDING BLOCKS:
  • ASSESSMENT - It all starts with the Diagnosis: Even the most advanced tests, such as MRI and CT scans, can’t accurately show if the pain is emanating from the SIJ/hip area. Dr. Boyle explains the relevant anatomical structures and provides extensive narrated demonstrations of the functional diagnostic tests that will determine the real source of your patient’s pain.

  • DIALOGUE - Speaking the Patient’s Language: This oft-ignored piece of clinical treatment can’t be overemphasized, particularly in the context of low back pain. A suffering patient combined with the day-to-day rush of a busy practice is a recipe for miscommunication. Build confidence in your patient interactions as Dr. Boyle shares her extensive experiences, detailing specifically how to use language that respects your patients, how to educate without condescension, and how to negotiate a successful treatment plan.

  • TREATMENT – Tailored Interventions: You’ll watch and learn the particulars of each therapeutic exercise for right/left SIJD; for symmetrical postural pattern; how and when to activate or to inhibit which muscles; and MUCH more. Dr. Boyle will also instruct you how in evaluation and application of research-based evidence to actual clinical situations – you’ll take away the ability to turn theory into practice, which means you’ll be ready for any challenge a patient brings.

You'll receive:

  • Dozens of techniques added to your toolbox
  • Conservative methodologies for preserving the SIJ
  • Assess and diagnose pain sources
  • Application of clinical reasoning to determine interventions
  • How to have a productive dialogue with your patient
  • Restoration and retention of function with therapeutic exercises

What Your Colleagues are Saying:

After having been treated in the past by an athletic trainer and by another PT with some improvement, I found Dr. Boyle's interconnected approach to body "mechanics" to be significantly more successful for aiding healing and for reforming my posture and body awareness for prevention of injuries. I highly recommend Dr. Boyle!

- Rodney Duke

This class blew my mind on how easy and effective it can be to treat someone with back or hip pain.

- Courtney, PT

I began working with Kyndall Boyle on reducing chronic back pain (right SIJ) I have experienced for 38 years. My pain diminished through my work with her, and then I reinjured my back in response to a long airplane trip. Kyndall brought me out of that severe pain through specific exercises. I am currently experiencing considerably less back pain than I have experienced since injuring my back originally. I am in less pain and my visits to her have decreased because my need for physical therapy has decreased. I am indebted to her for her commitment to my well-being and bringing me out of pain.

- Karen McGee

This seminar was wonderful. I do not work in long term or acute care or the elderly however, I found the information fascinating. The strategies were practical, and it provided a better understanding about dementia. Speaker is very dynamic. He made the session enjoyable and I learned a lot.

- Geri Miller

I have had sacroiliac joint and hip pain for 20 years. I saw another PT for quite a while and still had the pain. I also saw a Chiropractor with very short lasting relief. After just a few treatments with Kyndy, I am pain free! I know the exercises she taught me really work because when my hip feels out of place I do them and then it is fine.

- Crystal Ward

I’m better able to identify SIJ as the core problem and give client exercises to do at home.

- Laura, MT
