More About Your Instructors:

Dr. Robyn Otty, OTD, MEd, OTR/L, BCPR is a pioneer in the rehab field with research on using evidence-supported cognitive approaches to improve motor control, and metacognition to improve occupational performance. 

Dr. Otty has almost three decades of experience, a Board Certification in Physical Rehabilitation in 2012 from AOTA, a clinical doctorate (OTD) from Loma Linda University in 2010, a Master of Education from Touro University Nevada in 2007, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University in 1994.

Kara Doctor, MS, PT is nationally certified in Allied Team Treatment for Parkinson's disease, and has been treating patients with movement disorders, primarily Parkinson's. 

Mrs. Doctor has been on the board of directors for the Capital Area Parkinson Society (CAPS)  for nearly a decade. She's a spokesperson and lead presenter on deep brain stimulation for support groups in Austin. 

Dr. John Burns DPT, MPT, MSOM, Dipl-Ac is a physical therapist, acupuncturist, and a specialist in sports medicine. He promotes and inspires his cliental to take a more proactive approach to their healthcare and engage in an active lifestyle by using ancient and modern-day mind-body exercises, including Tai Chi, Qigong, and the Tao-Well: Train-Well & Rehab-Well program. His seminars blend the evidence and his experience with a teaching style that reflects his passion and conviction to improve upon the health of people of all ages and abilities. He is the founding director of the Academy of Mind-Body-Movement and this Level 1: Mind-Body-Movement Specialist certification course. Dr. Burns is also currently the Clinical Coordinator of Acupuncture and Mind-Body Exercises at Aurora Health Care.
