What You Might've Used, But Didn't Work

Techniques that focus on problems and often require years to fully investigate.

Techniques that elicit fear from the client, creating resistance.

Interventions that catch clients in the act of showing their symptoms and pathology.

Focusing on what the clients have been doing wrong and analyzing deficiencies to create solutions.

Clients are smart enough to realize when you’re using a technique and when you’re talking to them.

Most therapies consist of you telling your clients what to do, but that's often met with resistance.

With Solution-Focused (Brief) Therapy, your clients come up with the solution through your questions, and follow-through increases.

Are You Ready For Something Different?

LEARN WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE A SOLUTION SESSION, NOT JUST ANOTHER PROBLEM SESSION

Solution-Focused Therapy (also known as Solution Focused Brief Therapy, SFT or SFBT) is a revolutionary approach to helping people identify, create, and live the kind of life they hope for through a series of pointed questions that move the conversation forward.

The biggest mistake people make is that they move the conversation forward without have an answer to a key question – and our leading experts will give that to you.

If you’re at that point where your clients aren’t improving, continue to argue in-session or don’t participate, then this course is for you.

I have learned a new way to approach couples counseling and seeing it from a different perspective was great. I liked that we were taught the how’s, not just a theory.

Does this Sound Familiar?

“I’m fine. Fix this jerk.”

Have you ever had someone come into your office and say that?

If you automatically say, “Well they must not be a jerk all the time,” then you're arguing with them. When you argue, people pushback and stop listening. You’re opposing them and causing them to oppose you.

Solution-Focused (Brief) Therapy teaches you the right questions to ask that move the conversation forward, such as “It must be awful being married to a jerk. After successful therapy, how would you like to describe him?”

This helps clients re-describe what they want to get out of the session while accepting their description of the other person.

Allowing people to hold the thoughts they have without opposing them helps you have a successful therapy session.

This online course shows you how to do that in every session, with any client.

Solution-Focused Therapy starts with the end in mind.
“What do you want from our work?”
Rather than “What brought you here today?”

Interested in hearing a bit about what Solution-Focused (Brief) Therapy is from Elliott Connie?

Listen to this free video to learn more about the Solution-Focused Approach:

How is this different from CBT, DBT or any other therapy I already use?

Solution-Focused (Brief) Therapy is about asking the next question. As a clinician, you must know how to ask the right question to move the conversation forward, and promote conflict resolution in clients. This course is about learning how to build the right questions.

Solution-Focused (Brief) Therapy happens at the language level, so the only way to apply this therapy is to observe it. Most therapy is about the acquisition of techniques (“building your toolbox”) but think about this a bit differently. Think of it as the acquisition of language, and not necessarily JUST a technique.

SFBT/SFT helps your clients become autonomous and empowered so they can defeat the problem.

Because the solution lies with them.

What happens in Solution-Focused (Brief) Therapy?

SFT is where you ask future-focused questions that allow the client to envision a future without the problem and with great detail.

Elliot Connie starts with "The Miracle Question," which he'll show you in this online course. He continues the session with a series of pointed questions to keep the conversation moving forward.

Each session is about goal setting, searching for exceptions, and not focusing on the problem. The key to this model’s effectiveness is the focus on the solution, which allows the client to envision what the ideal future for that situation looks like without the problem. Then they discover the solution through your questions, rather than you telling them what they should do.

Solution-Focused (Brief) Therapy isn't evidence-based. Why should I take this course ?

Actually Solution-Focused (Brief) Therapy IS evidence-based. Directories around the world and research have concluded that this method is evidence-based, and in order to spread the correct information, we've added this small video from Elliott Connie to prove it and validate the idea if needed.
