Reduce OCD Symptoms with Art Therapy
Attendees of this one-hour webinar will gain an understanding of how Art Therapy can be used to significantly reduce or eliminate symptoms of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. An explanation of how the brain, specifically the Basal Ganglia System, is affected and how to assess for problems will be clearly conveyed. Definitions of what Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder is and is not—clarifying what is normal anxiety and when it becomes a disorder—and a quick look at what the new Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-5) says about the criteria of OCD will be provided. This webinar will guide attendees through an in-depth case study highlighting how the creative process of Art Therapy can access and decrease the anxiety causing OCD, providing a quicker and longer lasting treatment than verbal therapy.
