Description

In this lecture, we will discuss neuroplasticity as an addition to the treatment regime for re-education of function. Learn how each layer of the nervous system can be addressed with neuroplasticity techniques, re-routing connections around damaged areas to restore function, and discover how neuroplasticity is modernizing and redefining treatments in physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

Throughout the keynote, we will explore multidisciplinary applications and examples from across the lifespan, including:

  • strategies for overcoming the impact of injury in the subconscious memory of balance and movement
  • new ways to develop neuroplastic connections for proprioception in motion with total joint replacements
  • techniques that incorporate music, beat, and video to rewire gait abnormalities
  • and much more.
