Description

From toe walking to torticollis, kinesiology tape has rapidly gaining popularity in pediatric rehabilitation due to its unique ability to improve alignment and reeducate muscles for function. This hands-on certification course gives you all the tools, examples, and lab practice you need to immediately integrate taping for improved therapeutic outcomes, whether your goal is to increase coordination and performance on the athletic field or improve movement and motor control among children with developmental disabilities.

Kinesiology taping is a remarkably versatile technique that can be used in conjunction with sensory integration, splinting, NDT (Neurodevelopmental Treatment), Hippo- and Aquatic Therapies, and while this course has a pediatric focus, many of the applications are also effective in treating the adult patients with neurological conditions.

Master pediatric taping techniques for:

  • Enhancing coordination and proprioception
  • Improving movement and motor control
  • Building sensory awareness

  • Facilitating/inhibiting muscle function
  • Strengthening athletic performance
  • Limiting tone

Includes effective taping interventions for:

  • Scoliosis
  • Torticollis
  • Hemiplegia
  • Hip dysplasia

  • Joint hypermobility
  • Toe walking/gait
  • Over pronation
  • Motor and movement impairments
  • Orthopedic and sports injuries
  • Central nervous system dysfunction
  • Growth-related disorders
  • And much more

What You Will Learn

Brittny F - MANORVILLE, New York

"I like that the course gives you the standards, but leaves you room to develop your own protocols. It challenges your clinical knowledge as a healthcare practitioner to use it appropriately. I think there are so many applications that of rocktape that haven't even been touched yet and as an individual who works in a sensory integration/pediatric preschool setting this course is so beneficial."

Edith G - SANTA CLARITA, California

"This course material was presented in a very professional manner. Instructor demonstrated knowledge and experience in the topic and was able to address specific questions, including taping applications even if not included in the course material. "
