Description

The primary objective of the supervisor is to train the supervisee to respect the integrity and promote the welfare of the client. With this in mind, it is important that the supervisor be sure that the supervisee's activities are commensurate with his level of competence skill and experience. In this seminar, you will examine the how to become a well-trained supervisor in Play Therapy.

Beverly A. Conant, MA, LPC, LMFT, RPT-S, Related seminars and products


Beverly A. Conant, MA, LPC, LMFT, RPT-S, is a practicing Psychotherapist with the Houston Center for Christian Counseling in Houston, Texas, where she specializes in play therapy with children and individual and group counseling with adolescents and adults. She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1991 and is certified to supervise therapists seeking licensure in these areas. She has been a Registered Play Therapist since 1994 and is also a supervisor for play therapists. Ms. Conant has conducted workshops and in-services for preschools and teachers, has spoken at the Christian Counselors of Texas annual meeting and has discussed family therapy issues as a guest speaker on a Houston area radio program. She has advocated for children as an expert witness in numerous family court cases. She received her BA in medical technology from the University of Connecticut and her MA in counseling from Liberty University. Ms. Conant's passion for children and her playful love of life permeate her presentations, offering a fun and educational experience for attendees.
