Description
Clients often set up barriers to treatment that can block their ability to move forward. Without skillful interventions that empower them to internalize and act on their plans for self- improvement, they can remain indefinitely stuck in defeating patterns.
This one-day workshop provides Reality Therapy strategies that quickly move clients from powerlessness to effective control of their lives. These strategies can be applied in individual group or family therapy and are effective with numerous conditions including trauma, mental illness, and addictions. You will acquire and sharpen brief intervention skills that rapidly strengthen the therapeutic alliance and unlock the five human motivators. Dr. Robert Wubbolding will illustrate practical, timely and innovative Reality Therapy techniques that offer clients a sense of hope along with internalized plans that move them in healthy directions. Participants will leave this workshop with new clinical skills that can be used right away with even the most difficult-to-assist clients.
