Description

Solution Focused Approach with Couples
There is simply no two ways about it: working with couples is challenging work. This is at least in part because partners come to therapy prepared to talk about their problems in great detail. They come into therapy thinking they have to understand the problem to ascertain who is at fault and subsequently who needs to change to resolve their conflict. However, these assumptions are not only inaccurate, but they can also lead to further problems and eventually explode in unhelpful arguments during the therapy session.

In this innovative seminar, attendees gain the tools to help couples focus on moving forward and how to positively shape their preferred future together. In doing so, couples work together to build the relationship they desire rather than argue about the problems that have occurred. Combining hope-filled stories, dynamic lecture, interactive exercises, and video examples, Dr. Elliott Connie offers a new and effective perspective to attendees who work with couples.
