Description

Enhance Your Therapeutic Style With Unique Treatment Techniques
Clients rarely come to therapy with a single issue, and seldom is there only one treatment that will restore them to wholeness. Traditional therapy often focuses on the mind; however, separating the mind from the body and spirit presents a challenge for counselors – and spiritual components are often ignored. Therapists must respect clients' spiritual beliefs and create a safe place for clients to question and revise these beliefs if needed. Psychological problems are best treated when therapy addresses all aspects of a client's life.

In this seminar, attendees gain insight to help clients develop a healthy mind, body, and spirit, and uncover how the connection of these elements impact healing. Strategies from both Eastern and Western spiritual traditions will be incorporated into treatment planning. If therapists are uncomfortable addressing spiritual issues, their ability to fully help the client is limited. Participants will leave equipped with research-based strategies to determine the best treatment approaches for each client, along with handouts to copy and give to clients. Attendees will also partake in a mind, body, spirit self-assessment and obtain multiple burnout prevention strategies.
