Allen Sills, MD, FAANS, F.A.C.
Allen Sills, Jr., MD, FAANS, F.A.C.S., is an Academic Neurosurgeon, specializing in neuro-oncology and sports neurosurgery. Dr. Sills received his undergraduate degree at Mississippi State University in Biological Engineering. He obtained his medical degree, trained in neurosurgery, and did a fellowship in neuro-oncology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He currently practices at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is Director of the Neurosurgery Community Practice. He is a founder of the Vanderbilt Sports Concussion Center and serves as neurosurgical consultant to a number of college and professional sports teams. Dr. Sills currently focuses on translational clinical trials of new therapies for brain tumor management and new therapies for sports concussion.
