Leslie BeckeR-Phelps, PhD,


LESLIE BECKER-PHELPS, PhD, is a licensed psychologist in New Jersey with over 20 years of experience. She has a private practice where she treats individuals and couples. She was previously the clinical director of Women's Psychological Services and Chief of Psychology at Robert Wood Johnson-Somerset. Dr. Becker-Phelps is the relationships expert on WebMD's Relationships and Coping Community, where she provides support, encouragement, and feedback about various relationship issues. She is also a regular writer for WebMD's Relationships blog, offering information and guidance on how to nurture healthy relationships. In addition, Dr. Becker-Phelps writes a blog called Making Change for the Psychology Today website. This blog focuses on providing information on how to approach personal change in an effective manner. She has published the book Insecure in Love: How Anxious Attachment Can Make You Feel Jealous, Needy, and Worried and What You Can Do About It (New Harbinger Publications, 2014).
