LESLIE BECKER-PHELPS, PhD, is a licensed psychologist in New Jersey with over 20 years of experience. She has a private practice where she treats individuals and couples. She was previously the clinical director of Women's Psychological Services and Chief of Psychology at Robert Wood Johnson-Somerset. Dr. Becker-Phelps is the relationships expert on WebMD's Relationships and Coping Community, where she provides support, encouragement, and feedback about various relationship issues. She is also a regular writer for WebMD's Relationships blog, offering information and guidance on how to nurture healthy relationships. In addition, Dr. Becker-Phelps writes a blog called Making Change for the Psychology Today website.
