Patrick O'reilly, PhD,


PATRICK O'REILLY, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and an assistant professor of psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. Dr. O'Reilly has over 20 years of experience in the field and earned his PhD in 1996. He is past president of the San Francisco Psychological Association and is currently licensed in the state of California. Dr. O'Reilly has specialized in work with those who have been traumatized by groups using mind control. He is recognized nationally as an expert on undue influence and has testified as an expert witness in court cases ranging from undue influence to false confessions.

Dr. O'Reilly has taught Continuing Education courses to both mental health clinicians and attorneys on aspects of undue influence for a number of years. He is a notable speaker and has spoken at the California Commonwealth Club, which has hosted former presidents. Dr. O'Reilly has been sought after to speak to regional, state, and national audiences on the subject of manipulation and thought reform. He is the co-author of the book Undue Influence: Cons, Scams and Mind Control.
