ROY RIVERA, JR., PT, PhD, DPT, MCHES, is a licensed physical therapist practicing in Houston, Texas. Dr. Rivera earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Southwestern University, a Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Texas-Medical Branch, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health Studies with a concentration in Community/Population Health at Texas Woman's University. He is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc., and has been a member of both the American Physical Therapy Association and Texas Physical Therapy Association since 2003. Dr. Rivera is the CEO and owner of Crom Rehabilitation, an outpatient orthopedic private practice in Houston, and is also Faculty Honorarium at Hardin-Simmons University where he lectures on doctoral-level Ethical Principles and Policy Issues in Health Care. Dr. Rivera has previously contracted across the Texas Medical Center in Houston, the largest medical complex in the world, in various healthcare settings including acute and long-term acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, and outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine clinics. Dr. Rivera's unique experience includes years of treating individuals across the lifespan, from infant to geriatric populations, and his broad scope of knowledge has enabled him to be a more effective, well-rounded clinician.
