Tim Erson


Tim Erson, MS, PT, is the author of the Courageous Pacers Programs and materials. His books include: Gross Motor Activities for the Inclusive & Special Needs Classroom (Therapro 2003); The Courageous Pacers™ Exercise Flipbook (Therapro, 2004); and Courageous Pacers: The Complete Guide to Running, Walking & Fitness for Kids - Ages 8 to 108 (Pro-Activ Pub., 1993). He received a Promising Practices Award from the Texas Education Agency's Early Childhood Institute in the category of Effective Teaching Strategies for a classroom fitness program he developed for preschoolers with special needs. Mr. Erson is a 1984 graduate of Columbia University's Program in Physical Therapy. In 1987 he completed an NDTA Certificate in Pediatrics. He has worked extensively in inner city, rural, and center-based programs in New Jersey, Texas and New York. As a member of the APTA he has served as the Pediatric Representative to the Committee on Health Promotion, and Chair of the Adolescents and Adults with Developmental Disabilities SIG. Mr. Erson is an experienced therapist as well as an energetic and humorous speaker who offers common sense solutions to improving fitness, function, and health, for children with special needs
